Shear Properties of Sandwich Core Materials
Two types of fixture are available for ASTM C273 test standard: one working in a tension mode and one working in a compression mode.
Either fixture can test a variety of different sandwich core materials including honeycomb core structures and continuous core structures, such as foam or balsa wood.
Conforms to ASTM C273 Fig. 2
LVDT connection adaptor can also be added upon request. Customer must share LVDT measurements.

100 kN for samples 0-10 mm thick
Body: Steel, nickel-plated
Loading plate: Steel, nickel-plated (Optional: Stainless steel, 17-4 PH Stainless Steel - H900)
Temperature range: 0 … +70°C (Further temperature ranges on request)
Scope of supply: 1 fixture including connection adapters
