ASTM D6252 90° Degree Peel Test Fixture
90° Peel Resistance of Adhesives
Used in materials science and engineering, peel testing (also known as adhesion testing) measures the bond strength between two materials and is especially important for evaluating adhesive bond performance in different products and materials. The 90° Peel Test, a specific type, involves peeling one substrate away from another at a constant 90-degree angle. This is commonly used to assess the adhesion of a flexible layer bonded to a rigid surface, where the force resisting the peel of the tape from the substrate is the measured value.
