Principle of Operation:
Compression Fixture to test compressive properties of rigid plastics according to ASTM D695 (Fig. 2). The compression fixture is placed between two compression platens in a testing machine. The test specimen is positioned on the round base plate and compressed by a plunger.
For samples with a thickness more than 3.2 mm, the fixture shown in ASTM D695 Fig. 2 should be used. For thinner samples you should use the fixture ASTM D695 fig 4.
