ASTM F3212 Test Fixture
Coring Testing of Huber Needles
Raagen ASTM F3212 test fixture is designed to comply with the standards outlined in ASTM F3212.
A Huber needle is used to puncture a silicone disk clamped in the fixture. The needle is then removed, and the test determines if any material from the disk has adhered to the needle. If a core of the disk is found on the needle, the test is considered a failure.
This test can be performed manually, as there are no specific requirements for speed, angle, or rate of insertion. However, using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) can provide more consistent and reliable results.
Raagen designs and produces ASTM F3212 test fixtures according to required sample sizes and test needs with competitive price, high quality and fast delivery principles.
