DIN 53292 Tensile Strenght Test Fixture
Testing of sandwiches; Tensile test perpendicular to the faces
ASTM C297 outlines a procedure to measure the tensile strength of either the adhesive bond linking the facing and core materials of a sandwich panel, or, when that bond is stronger than the core, the core's inherent tensile strength. This is achieved by adhering the panel sample to robust loading blocks, which are then used to apply a tensile force to the specimen.
