Static puncture test on geotextiles
Puncture test fixture manufactured in accordance with ASTM D6241 and ISO 12236 for geotextile testing.
Scope of delivery: 1 probe, 1 sample clamp, lower holder
Application:
Din en iso 12236 describes the procedure for determining the penetration resistance of geotextiles and related products. The force generated when a sharp pressure die is pushed over the test specimen is determined. The specimen is clamped between two steel rings using a hydraulic end clamp.
The test is usually performed with dry test specimens conditioned under specified climatic conditions. The test is applicable to most types of products, but is not applicable to materials with openings greater than 10 mm.
